When we started planning the timeline for Michael and Maurizio's wedding, I was thrilled to find out that the two grooms were getting ready together at the Art Factory in Paterson, NJ. As a wedding photographer, I typically see most couples getting ready separately and then seeing each other at the first look or wedding ceremony for the first time. It's becoming a more modern trend to get ready together, especially for the LGBTQ community. Not only was it easier for us to be present to capture everything going on, but, it saved time too! The best part of all, though, was seeing these grooms dress each other on their wedding day. Watching these gentlemen get their tuxedos on was adorable, funny, and intimate. Seeing how they cared for one another, and being able to photograph such special moments couldn't have happened the same way if they were in different rooms. Now, I understand the notion of getting ready together on a wedding day isn't for everyone, and that's ok. But, if you're thinking about it, we want you to know, you'll have awesome wedding prep. photos as a result.
